Sad to say but there was no racing this Sunday, hence no report. The forecast the night before had been for about 30 knots, dropping off to 23 knots just before midday. Knowing that we went down to the pond, to fetch the Streaker home for some minor repairs with the tiniest thought that someone might be foolish enough to go afloat.
We were a bit late getting up, so that although we arrived before 10.30, the few that had turned up had taken one look and gone home already. There were two sailboards on the water but that was it. Strangely the strength of the breeze had somewhat decreased and Racing could have taken place.
Having looked at the forecast for next Sunday 13th Feb, it does not look a great deal better at the time of writing - 25 knots dropping to 17 just before noon.- but it can change dramatically so it is worth going down to the Pond on the day.
